The buzz about cricket

Considering the heavy climate of political change this year, people on the Net seem to be searching for everything but. In a snapshot of what people are searching for on Yahoo!, only the term “Obama” was in the top ten.
Otherwise the most searched for topics were Gay Marriage, Cricket, Iran, Real Housewives Of New York City, Gas Prices, Van Halen, Hells Angels, Simon Cowell, American Idol 2008. (Would be funny if the same person had all those things on their mind…)
Examining Google’s top searches, most terms at the top of the list are cricket related. Does the world apart from the US love cricket, or just those with Internet access? hypoactive sexual desire disorder ranked high on the list. As did scarlett johansson ebay, arkansas school closings, and lorena bobbit (ouch). But really what people seem to be seeking out right now is a whole lot of cricket.
Ok, that’s weird…I played cricket on Saturday with my Aussie neighbors. My oldest son loves the game, so he’s always asking them to play in the park in our neighborhood. Must say, it’s a pretty fun game. But it’d be even “funner” with a few pints pouring on the sidelines…
